Cadent can’t say when repairs causing A53 disruption will end
Gas network firm Cadent says it doesn't know how a 'complex' repair causing disruption on the A53 in Sneyd Green will take. Long queues have been seen at the three-way temporary traffic lights on A53 Leek New Road around the junction with Chacewater Drive.
Cadent said engineers began emergency repair work Friday (December 1). The firm said lights had been installed to keep motorists and workers safe.
In a statement, Cadent said: "This is a complex repair, and it is unknown at this stage how long the works will take."
A Cadent spokesperson said: “We know that these works will cause disruption, however our customers safety is our top priority. We would like to thank the community for their patience at this time and apologise for any inconvenience experienced as we complete this vital repair work”.
