Customer Advice
Due to a Lorry having struck and being stuck underneath a railway bridge between Newmarket and Cambridge, services between Ipswich and Cambridge are unable to run between Newmarket and Cambridge.
Network Rail engineers are on site at the bridge and will inspect it for any damage. Only once the Lorry is clear of the bridge and the bridge has been examined and passed fit for service will trains be able to run over it.
Passengers are advised to travel from Cambridge to Ely, using either Greater Anglia services, or Great Northern services, who are currently accepting Greater Anglia tickets, and then travel onwards between Ely and Ipswich.
