Woman taken to hospital after Mercedes and Honda crash on A52

A woman has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash involving Mercedes and Honda cars. Officers from Derbyshire police[1] were called to a collision on the A52 at Brailsford, at 8.25am on Thursday morning (November 9).

The collision involved two vehicles, a Mercedes A200 and a Honda Civic. A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Due to the incident, the road was closed in both directions by police[2], causing traffic issues in the surrounding area. The road had reopened by around 10.20am, nearly two hours after the incident was first reported.

A motorist caught up in the delay said: “I think it had only just happened when I got there and someone was directing traffic around a car that looked as if it had been in a collision but I couldn’t see another vehicle. Police began to arrive shortly afterward by which time traffic was building up in both directions.”
