Watch dealer who hid cocaine in car gear stick is arrested by police …
A drug dealer who hid cocaine in a car gear stick was arrested by police in Cambridgeshire[1]. Aregli Shurdhi was pulled over by officers on Speedwell Close, Fulbourn, on September 21.
It was after they suspected the car he was driving was involved in drug deals. Inside the vehicle, officers found a bag of cocaine concealed within the gear stick.
Shurdhi, 21, of Cricket Road, Oxford, also had £360 in cash and two sim cards in his possession. At Peterborough[2] Crown Court[3] yesterday (6 November), Shurdhi was sentenced to two years and five months in prison.
It was after he entered guilty pleas to possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of a false identity document with intent and possession of criminal property.
Sergeant Amanda Rossiter said: “We have a vital role in preventing drugs from reaching our streets and ensuring those responsible are brought to justice and the public can play a vital part in this work too. Please continue to report your concerns and suspicions to us.”
