Two die in fatal Lorry Collision on A2 at Dover – UK News in Pictures

Kent Police[1] is continuing to appeal[2] for witnesses to a fatal collision in Dover. At 11.54pm on Sunday 2 July 2017, police were call to a report of a collision on the A2 Jubilee Way in Dover, involving a yellow lorry and a black Nissan Qashqai. The lorry was travelling down Jubilee Way towards the docks when it was in a collision with the car which was travelling in the opposite direction. His next of kin have been made aware. A second man, who was a passenger, also died at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to locate his next of kin. Formal identification for both men has yet to take place. A 51-year-old man from Romania[4] arrested[5] on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving currently remains in police custody. A 36-year-old man who was also arrested[6] at the scene, has since been released without charge.
