TRAVEL ALERT – Crash on the M5 near Bromsgrove sees carriageway shut and delays
A SECTION of motorway is closed after a crash between a lorry and a van.
The collision happened earlier tonight on the M5 near Junction 4a (for the M42).
Fire crews from Bromsgrove and Redditch are currently dealing with the scene.
The northbound carriageway is shut with delays of around 20 minutes and two miles of congestion.
Traffic is being diverted using the M42 north to Junction 2 (Redditch / Hopwood Service).
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
