TfL Tube: Closures on EIGHT lines on Saturday

People looking to travel on the Transport for London (TfL) network on Saturday should check before they travel as there are closures on eight separate lines.

Work on the signalling systems impacts will impact the Circle, Jubilee, District and Hammersmith and City, and Metropolitan lines.

1. Circle line

The line will be closed until 3pm with no service running on the entire line.

2. District line

The line will be closed until 3pm with no service running on the entire line. Replacement buses will operate between Hammersmith and Earls Court.

3. Hammersmith & City line

The line will be closed until 3pm with no service running on the entire line. Replacement buses will operate between Liverpool Street and Dagenham East.

4. Jubilee line

The line will be closed until 3pm with no service running on the entire line. Replacement buses will operate on the Finchley Road to Wembley Park, and North Greenwich to Stratford sections only. For other sections, customers are urged to use alternative London Underground lines or local London Buses service.

5. Metropolitan Line

There will be no service between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate till 3pm. Customers are asked to use Chiltern Railways services between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Marylebone. Limited replacement buses will operate.

6. London Overground

There is no service between Highbury & Islington and New Cross / Clapham Junction / Crystal Palace / West Croydon. Alternative London Overground trains operate between Highbury & Islington, Canonbury and Dalston Kingsland. Use Southern trains for stations between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace. Replacement buses operate.

On Saturday and Sunday November 11-12, a reduced service will operate between Kilburn High Road and Euston. Trains at 30 minutes past each hour, between 6.30am and 8.30pm on Saturday and between 11.30am and 8.30pm on Sunday, will operate from Watford Junction to Kilburn High Road. Trains at 15 minutes past each hour from Euston, between 7.15am and 9.15pm on Saturday, and between 12.15pm and 9.15pm on Sunday, will instead start at Kilburn High Road, seven minutes later.

7. Tram

One London Tramlink there is no service between Wandle Road and East Croydon due an Armistice Day service at Wellesley Road.

8. Waterloo & City line

The Waterloo & City line service operates Monday to Friday between 6am and 12.30am only. There is no service on Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays.

A TfL spokesperson said of the signalling closures: “The closure will facilitate testing of a transformative new signalling system that will improve reliability and journey times on these lines. Rail replacement bus services will be in place, but customers are advised to check before they travel and seek alternative routes on this day.”
