Teen rushed to hospital after being ‘hit by car as he crossed road’

Police are appealing for witnesses after an Alsager teenager was injured after being involved in a collision with a car as he crossed the road. The 18-year-old pedestrian was rushed to hospital following the crash at the junction of Weston Road and Jack Lane in Weston, Crewe, at 6.45am last Friday (November 10).

Police said a black Ford Mondeo was involved in the incident, which occurred while the teenager was crossing the road. He was taken to Leighton Hospital for treatment.

Police said his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. Officers added that enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

Police Constable Chris Luke, of Cheshire Police, said: “This incident occurred at a busy time of the day, when many people will have been making their way to work.
