Teen, 17, punched in face after being pushed off bus

UPDATE – In a statement, Leicestershire Police said the man had since been identified. They thanked everyone who shared their appeal.

A teenage boy was pushed off a bus and punched in the face[1] during an assault in Broughton Astley. Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe could help them with their investigations.

The incident happened on Thursday, October 26, when the 17-year-old victim was pushed off a bus in the village, which is near Blaby[2], by a man. The teenager was then punched in the face by the same person.

The assault happened between 3.35pm and 3.40pm. Police have now turned to the public for help with their investigation.

Investigating officer PC Robyn Cooper said: “From inquiries carried out so far, I believe the man pictured may have information about this incident. If you recognise him and know who he is, please get in touch.”
