Taxi row at Halloween event leaves man with fractured ear bone
A man suffered a fractured ear bone after being assaulted at a Halloween event in Somerset. Avon and Somerset Police[1] said three men were assaulted at The Bath & West Showground near Shepton Mallet[2] on October 29.
The assault took place at the Westfest event at around 2.30am after a confrontation about a taxi on the edge of the site. Police said that two of the victims required hospital treatment for facial injuries.
Investigating officers are now appealing for information. They are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with relevant footage of what happened.
Police said in a public appeal: “The area was busy at the time and officers are appealing for anyone with footage or information that may help their investigation to come forward. There were also several taxis in the area at the time and we would ask drivers to check for dashcam footage.
