‘Such a tragic loss’ – Tributes to BMW driver, 21, killed in crash
Dozens of tributes have been left at the scene of a crash that left a young man dead. A lamppost has been covered with bouquets of flowers in memory of a popular 21-year-old.
The man – who has not been named – was killed when the black BMW he was driving crashed into street furniture in Stourbridge[1] Road, Lye, on Friday, November 10. Two other cars were believed to be involved in the collision, which happened just before 7pm.
Loved ones have visited the crash site, near a car dealership, to pay their respects. A message on a heart-shaped balloon, visible amongst the flowers, read: “Rest in peace my brother. We love you.” Another note read: “Such a tragic and sad loss. RIP.”
West Midlands Police[3] said officers were searching for a white car – possibly a hatchback – and a smaller, dark-coloured car, which they believe “could have contributed to the collision”. Neither vehicle stopped at the scene but the force has urged the drivers to come forward
