Emergency services[2] are at the scene as drivers face slow traffic and delays.

One woman has been taken to hospital but her condition remains unknown.

Cops[3] advised drivers to use an alternative route.

Posting on X, formerly Twitter[4], they said: "Emergency services are dealing with a road crash on the M74 northbound carriageway, near Junction 7.

"Motorists are advised to find an alternative route."

Traffic Scotland has said travel time is around 19 minutes for Northbound traffic.

And they are urging motorists to plan their journeys due to the closures.
