Probe underway after Mercedes bursts into flames on Trentham …

A joint probe is underway after a car burst into flames at the Trentham[1] Estate car park on Thursday afternoon. Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 3.10pm.

The blaze involved a white Mercedes in the car park. Thankfully, no one was inside at the time and the fire was quickly extinguished by crews.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service says it is now looking into what caused the blaze alongside officers from Staffordshire Police. A spokesperson for the fire service said: “We have extinguished a car fire which happened in Trentham yesterday (23 November).

“Crews from Longton were sent to the Trentham Estate car park shortly after 3.10pm. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish a parked car which was well alight in the area. No one was inside it at the time.

“An inspection of the cause is being carried out alongside our colleagues from Staffordshire Police.”
