Pro-Palestine protesters occupy Edinburgh and Glasgow railway …

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters have staged sit-ins at two Scottish mainline stations with organisers claiming police had stopped a march from proceeding in Edinburgh.
Footage on social media showed Waverley station forecourt full of demonstrators waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans.
A similar protest took place at Glasgow’s Central Station but the activists were allowed to leave for a rally outside the BBC Scotland headquarters on the Clyde.
In Edinburgh, protesters jammed into Waverley to stage a noisy sit-in and were heard chanting “free Palestine” and “ceasefire now”, waving flags and blowing whistles.
Alys Mumford, an Edinburgh councillor who was speaking at the protest, said the gathering at Waverley was “spontaneous” and “peaceful” after police interrupted the demonstrators’ marching route.
