Police stopped this car from driving in Cambridge
Police have taken a severely damaged vehicle off the road – after it was spotted being driven in Cambridge. Officers from the Beds, Cambs & Herts Road Policing Unit stopped the car in the city over the weekend.
Police quipped that the ‘offside wing mirror’ was about the only part of it that wasn’t defective. They also stated that the driver was not insured.
The car seems to have been painted yellow at some point, but most of this paint has now come off. There also seems to be gaffer tape on the badly damaged bonnet.
A Beds, Cambs & Herts Road Policing Unit spokesperson said: “Any guesses as to why we stopped this? The offside wing mirror was pretty much the only part of the car that wasn’t defective. Immediate prohibition put in place. The driver also wasn’t insured.”
