Police probe ‘unexplained’ death of man at North Staffordshire …
Police are treating the death of a man at a North Staffordshire beauty spot as ‘unexplained’. They are continuing to investigate after discovering the body of the man at Lyme Valley Parkway, in Newcastle-under-Lyme[1].
The alarm was raised at 11.33am on Friday, October 27.
A Staffordshire Police[2] spokesman said: “We were called to Lyme Valley Parkway following reports of a sudden death. Sadly, a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained whilst enquiries continue.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service[3] was also scrambled to the scene.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a medical emergency. One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man. Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
