Police name man who died in crash on Cambridgeshire road
Cambridgeshire Police have named a man who died in a crash on the A142 at Soham on Monday (November 6). Kevin Boswell, 77, was driving a black Mini at about 10.25am when it was involved in a collision with a lorry.
Officers and paramedics attended, but Mr Boswell, of North Street, Burwell, was pronounced dead at the scene[1]. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
Detective Inspector Garry Webb said: “A man has tragically lost his life in this collision and my thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time. I am appealing to anyone who may have seen the collision, or either vehicle prior to it, to please get in touch.”
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “One ambulance, one rapid response vehicle, one ambulance officer vehicle and East Anglian Air Ambulance were called to the Soham Bypass (A142) [on Monday]. Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews and police and fire colleagues, a man died at the scene.”
A police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information or dashcam footage should report it through the force website using reference CC-06112023-0168. Anyone without internet access should call 101.”
