Pedestrian suffers facial injuries in collision with car
A pedestrian has suffered severe facial injuries following a collision with a car in Devon. The incident happened sometime before 8.50pm on Thursday (November 9) on Barbican Lane in Barnstaple
Police, paramedics, and the Devon Air Ambulance attended the scene. The road was closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The injured man was then taken to hospital for treatment. The road was reopened just after midnight, Devon Live reports[1].
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Barbican Lane, Barnstaple, at around 8.50pm on Thursday 9 November.
“A man sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. Local road closures were put in place while emergency services dealt with the scene. The road was reopened a little after midnight on Friday 10 November.”
