NO trains to run for Albion’s Premier League match against Brentford …
Govia Thameslink Railway has confirmed that no trains will call at Falmer station next Wednesday, December 6, due to the strike called by train driver’s union Aslef.
It means fans will have to find another way to the Amex Stadium for the 7.30pm kick off.
People are being urged to find alternative ways to get to the match.
A GTR spokesman said: "Regrettably, our advice for fans is to consider alternative ways to reach these matches.
“On December 6, there will be no trains to the match. On December 9, when there is also engineering work closing the line west of Brighton[1] (Brighton to Littlehampton), we will have far fewer trains and fans will risk missing the start of the match if they take the train.
“They should plan ahead carefully and give themselves plenty of extra time to complete their journey because there will be queues and delays.
“We are working closely with the club which is passing this message on and looking at alternative travel arrangements."
The rail disruption is part of strikes starting on December 1 until December 9.[2]
Albion offer two park and ride sites in the city: Mill Road and Brighton Racecourse. These have a combined capacity of 1,150 car parking spaces.
Brighton and Hove[3] Buses also operate buses from the city to Falmer.
There is also limited bicycle parking space at the stadium.
