Man charged after police find £600K worth of drugs on M6

The car was pulled over just off the motorway, near Stubbins, and a search found nine kilos of what is thought to be uncut heroin, which has an estimated street value of around £600,000.

Moshin Syed, 24, of Limbrey Drive, Milton Keynes, was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin, possession with intent to supply heroin and money laundering

He appeared at Blackburn[1] Magistrates on Tuesday, November 21. He is due back in court on December 19.

A police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged after a large amount of class A drugs were found in a vehicle stopped on the M6.

“Earlier this week we told you that a car had been pulled over just off the motorway, near Stubbins, as it travelled south.

“Officers felt something was amiss with it, so signalled for the driver to stop and carried out a search. This turned up nine kilos of what is thought to be uncut heroin, which has now been estimated as having a street value of around £600,000.

“A 24-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

“Moshin Syed, 24, of Limbrey Drive, Milton Keynes, was later charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin, possession with intent to supply heroin and money laundering.

“He subsequently appeared at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday, November 21), when he was remanded into custody.

“He is due back at the court on December 19.

“The stop of the vehicle was made as part of ongoing operation warriot which was set up to target individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.”
