M6 delays live as traffic brought to standstill following lorry crash
There are major delays on the M6 this evening,[1] November 1, following a crash involving a lorry and a car. Two lanes are closed on the M6 at Wolverhampton, causing huge delays for West Midlands motorists.
One motorist caught up in the chaos told BirminghamLive[2] traffic was at a complete "standstill." The hold up is between J10 (Wolverhampton/Walsall) and J9 (Wednesbury), with congestion backing up to previous junctions.
Live traffic systems report long delays and two lanes currently closed due to the incident, which involved a lorry and a car on M6 Southbound. West Midlands Roads has released an update to motorists this evening to recommend they plan ahead as congestion is stretching back towards the M54.
Drivers using the M6 tonight will experience major delays caused by the incident. Live cameras show traffic snarled up on the M6 southbound.
