M4 and M3 road closures in Berkshire to cause disruptions

M4 Smart Motorway work will affect the length and breadth of the M4 across Reading, Bracknell, and Slough causing overnight disruptions and delays.

These will require road closures between 8 pm and 6 am throughout November.

Another affected area will be the M3 in Bracknell Forest due to resurfacing works from 9 p.m. September 14 to 6 a.m. November 15.

Road closures on the M25 in Slough will happen across the next two weeks due to the surfacing of the carriageway.

Here are the road and lane closures on the M4 due to Smart Motorway works:

• M4 westbound – junction 11 to junction 12: 8pm November 2 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes).
• M4 Eastbound – junction 12 to junction 11: 8pm November 6 to 6am November 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes)
• M4 eastbound - junction 11 to junction 10: 8pm November 7 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes)
• M4 eastbound, junction 12 to junction 11: 8pm November 8 to 6am November 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes).
• M4 westbound, junction 8/9 to 10: 8pm May 30 2022 to 6am November 16 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes).

Between 8 pm on November 20 and 5 am on November 21 junction 8/9 will be closed for barrier repairs. Motorists have been advised to exit the slip road at the junction.
