M1 live updates as broken-down lorry causes seven miles of traffic

A stretch of the M1 in Derbyshire is seeing big queues of traffic[1] behind a broken-down vehicle. Two lanes have been closed on the M1 southbound after a lorry broke down.

The affected stretch is from J25 A52 Brian Clough Way[2] (Nottingham / Derby) to J24 A453 Ashby Road (Nottingham South / East Midlands Airport). Traffic is queueing.

Lane one and two (of four) are closed. Up to seven miles of queues have been reported.
