Lorry trailer full of Castore sportswear stolen from depot
A lorry trailer full of Castore sportswear was stolen from a depot in Kirkby[1].
Merseyside Police[2] received a report that just after 10pm on Thursday, October 19, two men entered the Venus 110 depot on Hornhouse Lane and stole a trailer using a white HGV. The trailer contained a large quantity of Castore sports clothing.
The HGC was last seen leaving the depot at around 6am the next day, Friday, October 20, travelling towards Coopers Lane. The empty container was found on Penketh Place in Skelmersdale[3] on Thursday, October 26.
Detectives are appealing for information and are urging anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or saw the HGV on the days in question to contact them.
Detective Inspector Richard Shillito said: “We are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who has information on the theft to please contact us. We are also appealing for any motorists who were in the area at that time of the theft to please check to see if you have captured dashcam footage of the incident or a white HGV van in the area to please get in touch.

Finally, I would urge anyone who may have knowledge of large quantities of Castore sports being offered for sale to please contact us.”
