Live A2 updates as road blocked after lorry and car crash
A crash on the A2 is causing travel disruption near Gravesend[1] this morning (November 10). The incident was first reported shortly before 7am and took place on the London-bound carriageway just before the A227 Wrotham Road.
According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, the crash has involved a lorry and a car. The latest Inrix update states: “A2 London bound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident, a car and a lorry involved before A227 Wrotham Road (Gravesend / Tollgate Services).”
Yesterday, motorists faced considerable delays on the A2 following a lorry fire[2], which saw miles of congestion persist for multiple hours. The blaze happened on the London-bound carriageway between the A2260 for Ebbsfleet and the B255 for Bean, with delays persisting well into the evening.
It is not yet known if there have been an injuries as a result of this morning’s crash before the A227 Wrotham Road. National Highways has been approached for further details. Follow our live blog below for the latest updates as we get them.
