09:23 York Place, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a false alarm. Crews found this to be a fault caused by moisture in the manual call point. Advice was given to the responsible person.
09:55 Trafalgar Square, Scarborough A crew from Scarborough responded to false alarm caused from cigarettes.
10:17 Knaresborough Road, Harrogate A crew from Harrogate responded to visible flames under the bonnet of a car due to a fault with its battery. Crews extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and a hose reel. Crews investigated the damage with a thermal imaging camera. Police were informed.
11:17 Millgate, SelbyA crew from Selby to a false alarm with a fault on the system. A revisit was carried out and an alarm was reset and advice given.
11:44 A65, SkiptonCrews from Skipton and Grassington attended a road traffic collision involving a small vehicle and lorry. Crews worked with Police and Paramedics to coordinate the safe extrication of the casualty using cutting equipment. A male in his 50s was thankfully unharmed and the female, who sustained a shoulder injury was left in the care of paramedics.
12:35 High Street, Leyburn A crew from Leyburn assisted Police to make a scene safe after a refuse lorry damaged a building. The owner of the building was contacted and advice given.
12:39 Belmont Street, SkiptonA crew from Skipton attended a false alarm caused to be system testing. Advice given to the onsite person.

14:51 The Old Village, HuntingtonA crew from Huntington and York attended a residential property where a small fire was discovered in the bedroom after the use of candles. The occupant had extinguished the fire before the crews arrival but there was some fire damage to the bedroom and smoke damage to the rest of the floor. Crews used a knapsack sprayer to dampen down the room post fire and administered first aid prior to ambulance arrival for some smoke inhalation and burns to the occupant who was later transported to hospital. Crews plan to return and complete a safe and wellbeing visit to give advice about fire safety in the home.
15:07 Bishophill, York.
Acomb crews investigated a tv aerial in a precarious position. Crews removed aerial using ladders.
16:10 Castleton, Whitby
Danby, Lythe, Whitby and Stokesely crew responded to reports of smoke issuing from a domestic property. No immediate sign of fire, crews are currently investigating the source of fire. Ot is believed to be coming from a wall partition. Further details to follow in next bulletin
