Girls Aloud set for Glastonbury show, according to reports
Girls Aloud are set for a big show at Glastonbury Festival next year, according to newspaper reports.
After more than a decade, the nostalgic pop group have revealed they will reunite for an arena tour in 2024. They will travel across the UK for shows in memory of their late bandmate Sarah Harding, who died aged 39 from breast cancer in 2021.
But Cheryl Tweedy, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh are also planning a special one-off show at Glastonbury Festival, The Sun reports[1]. The newspaper claims the girl group, famous for hits including Biology and Call The Shots, are “being lined up to perform on the famous Pyramid stage and could be heading for the coveted Legends slot”.

An “insider” allegedly told The Sun: “Girls Aloud have been at the top of the wishlist to play after rumours of a reunion emerged. The festival needs some girl power after last year’s all-male line-up and the girls fit the bill.
“They also have a huge back catalogue of pop anthems, so all ages will be singing along. Exactly what the Legends slot is all about.”
Girls Aloud are touring across the UK between May 18 and June 19. They are due to perform in Liverpool on Saturday June 29.
June 29 is the Saturday of Glastonbury Festival 2024. This means the pop band would be free to perform in Somerset on the Friday (June 28) or the Sunday (June 30) of the Pilton event.
Girls Aloud first split in 2009 after playing Wembley Stadium with Coldplay, before reuniting for new music and a 10th anniversary tour in 2012 and 2013. They had planned a second reunion to celebrate their 20th anniversary, before Harding was diagnosed with breast cancer.
