Fareham: Man admits to burgling a house before car theft
Max Plaister, 21, of no fixed address, appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court[1] on Monday where he pleaded guilty to burglary and theft of a motor vehicle relating to an incident in Beaumont Rise, Fareham[2], on June 7 this year.
A house was broken into, and a Vauxhall Mokka was stolen from the driveway.
The vehicle was located and recovered by police in Thatcher’s Copse car park in Titchfield on June 9.
Police[3] confirmed that forensic enquiries linked Plaister to the vehicle.
At the hearing, Plaister also pleaded guilty to attempted burglary and theft from a motor vehicle relating to an incident in Bye Road, Swanwick, on October 9 of this year.
Plaister accessed a car and stole a key from inside, before unsuccessfully making attempts to gain access to a house using the key.
Following the hearing, Plaister was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Friday, January 5.
