Emergency services at the scene of a crash on A90 near Crimond
Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the A90 near Crimond.
Eyewitnesses said a lorry had been involved in an accident with a car on the Peterhead[1] to Fraserburgh road.
The road is closed in both directions, with local diversions in place.
Traffic Scotland has advised people to avoid the area.
Police remain at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving three vehicles on Greenwellheads Access Road on the A90, Crimond, at 9.55am on Saturday, 18 November.
“Emergency services attended and two people were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance.
“The A90 is currently closed from the A952 junction at Cortes and south of Crimond.”
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service[2] said that crews were at the scene and have since left.

She said: “We have two appliances on the scene from Fraserburgh and Peterhead.
“We were called at 9.59am.
“A further heavy-duty appliance has been tasked from North Anderson Drive in Aberdeen.”
