Edinburgh schoolboy, eight, hit by a bus on busy road during rush …

A schoolboy was left injured after being hit by a bus[1] on a busy Edinburgh road during rush hour.
Emergency services rushed to Greendykes Road, near Niddrie Mains Road, at around 5.15pm on Tuesday, November 21, following reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and a bus.
The child, an eight-year-old boy, was left in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service[2] as Lothian Buses were temporarily forced to avoid the route during rush-hour traffic.
Police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing. The condition of the child is currently unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.15pm on Tuesday, 21 November, 2023, we received a report of a crash involving an eight-year-old child pedestrian and bus on Greendykes Road, Edinburgh.
