Edinburgh police under barrage of fireworks in appalling footage

Shocking Edinburgh footage shows fireworks[1] being set off in the direction of moving vehicles.

The clip, which was taken in Broomhouse[2], shows multiple fireworks going off in the middle of the road beside cars. One of the vehicles seen is a police[3] car.

The footage was filmed at around 10pm. It's unclear who was behind the incident.

One car can be seen driving down Broomhouse Road, before a firework explodes directly in front of the vehicle. The driver keeps going down the road.

Beside the car is a police van, which begins moving after the firework goes off.

This comes after Broomhouse was supposedly on the "no firework zone", following anti-social behaviour last year.

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
