Dumfries House: Person taken to hospital following crash

The entrance to the estate was closed off for a period of time, after a crash believed to be involving a car and a lorry along the A70 between Cumnock and Ochiltree^[1].

Emergency services attended the scene, but the road remained open throughout.

Ambulance crews confirmed that one person was taken to hospital following the incident.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1.57pm hours to attend a road traffic collision on the A70.

"We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one patient to Ayr Hospital.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson adde: “Around 1.50pm on Wednesday, November 22, police were called to the A70 at Dumfries House, Cumnock, following a two-vehicle crash.

"Recovery was arranged.”
