Collier Row road shuts as man dies from medical emergency after …

A man has died following a car crash in Collier Row this morning. The collision happened on Chase Cross Road where emergency services were called at 8.42am following reports of the crash (November 10).

London Metropolitan Police and Fire Brigade confirmed they attended the scene. Emergency service workers found two cars involved in the collision.

Despites best efforts, a 75 years old man was pronounced dead at the scene because of health issues. Police confirmed his death was not a result of the collision.

Chase Cross Road was reportedly closed for a couple of hours, as emergency services dealt with the incident, before it was reopened later on. A London Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "At 08:42hrs on Friday 10 November, police and emergency services were called to Chare Cross Road to a report of a road traffic collision.

"Despite the emergency services efforts, a 75 year-old man was pronounced dead on scene due to health issues and not as a result of the RTC. The road has now re-opened."

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "Firefighters attended a road traffic collision on Chase Cross Road in Collier Row this morning. Two vehicles were involved. The Brigade was called at 0843 and the incident was over for firefighters by 0934."
