A main road was blocked in a Derby suburb after a car crash that resulted in one vehicle ending up on its side. Derbyshire police were called to reports of a collision[1] on Kenilworth Avenue, near Warwick Avenue, in Normanton.

The incident happened at around 6.15am today (Wednesday, November 29). Two cars were involved, a Volkswagen Golf and a Vauxhall Astra. The road was blocked while recovery was arranged[2].

No injuries were reported. A video of the scene showed the Volkswagen Golf on its side and recovery work ongoing to attempt to unblock the road.
