A child was left injured in a two car crash that has closed a main road in Warwickshire[1]. West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) has confirmed that it was called out to the collision on the collision off the A3400 in Stratford upon Avon at around 11.35pm last night (November 8).
A WMAS spokesman said that there were several casualties, including a youngster, who has not been identified. The child as well as two others were taken to hospital.
“An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Air Ambulance Critical Care Car from Coventry[2] were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered two cars had been involved in a collision,” the spokesman said.
“The driver of the first car, a man, along with a female passenger and a child were all treated for minor injuries by medics before being taken to Warwick[4] Hospital for further treatment. Two patients from the second car, both men, were treated for minor injuries by ambulance staff but did not require hospital treatment and so were discharged at the scene.”
Part of the road remains closed by police this morning. It is causing major traffic issues in the town.
