A610 main road was closed in both directions in Derbyshire

A section of the A610[1] was closed in both directions following reports of an obstruction in the road this afternoon. The road was closed between the A38 and[2] the Butterly Park Pub, with queuing traffic reported on the surrounding roads.

Traffic information service Inrix confirmed the closure on its website. A spokesperson for Inrix said that the closure was particularly affecting traffic between Ripley and Codnor.

The incident was first reported at around 3.15pm today (Tuesday, November 14). The road had reopened by around 4.15pm.
