A460 Cannock Road closed after car overturns in Wolverhampton

A busy road in the Black Country is closed this morning after a car overturned. The A460 Cannock[1] Road, which runs through Wolverhampton[2], is shut to motorists[3] in both directions.

The incident has taken place in the Fallings Park area of the city, reports traffic monitoring service Inrix, with a number of bus services diverted. The road has been closed for a 0.8 mile stretch between Deyncourt Road and Park Lane, Inrix added.

Inrix said: "A460 Cannock[4] Road in both directions blocked, heavy traffic due to overturned car from Park Lane to Deyncourt Road." National Express West Midlands said there was 'service disruption' in the area, with its 11 and 25 buses affected.

National Express West Midlands wrote on X/Twitter: "Due to an incident on Cannock[7] Road, Wolverhampton. Services 11 and 25 will be using Old Fallings Lane and Primrose Lane in both directions. Apologies for any disruption to your journey."
