A34 shut as air ambulance called after pedestrian hit by lorry – updates

An air ambulance has been scrambled after a pedestrian was hit by a lorry on the A34 this afternoon (November 23).

The road is currently closed both ways following the collision at 3.21pm.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix states: “A34 Stone Road in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to accident between Trentham Gardens (Trentham roundabout, Trentham, Stoke on Trent) and the Monkey Forest (Monkey Roundabout, Tittensor).

“The road was closed at around 16:00. Affecting traffic between Stoke on Trent and Stafford.”

The incident comes after a car went up in flames at nearby Trentham Gardens.[1]
