A259 crash sees young motorcyclist hospitalised with serious injuries
A motorcyclist is in hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after a crash on the A259[1] in Peacehaven[2] on Tuesday (November 21). The crash, which happened at around 8am at Telscombe Cliffs, saw the motorcycle and a car crash near the Smugglers Rest pub.
The motorcycle rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital from the scene. Sussex Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
In an appeal for witnesses, police have confirmed that the motorcyle was a Honda CB650R and the car involved was a Peugeot 207. A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on the A259 at Telscombe Cliffs on Tuesday morning (21 November).”
They continued: “A Peugeot 207 was reported to have collided with a Honda CB650R motorcycle at around 8am, near the Smugglers Rest pub. The rider of the motorcycle – a man in his 20s – was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“An investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened. If you witnessed the incident or have any relevant footage, such as from a dashcam or doorbell, please contact [email protected][4], quoting Operation Egerton.”
