Woman’s body found in woodland
A woman’s body has been discovered in woodland in Dorset. Officers from Dorset Police[1] found the body in an area of woodland in Christchurch, close to Gordon Road, in Highcliffe, in the early afternoon of Monday, October 23.
Although the body has not yet been formally identified, police believe it is that of Judith Kelly. She was reported missing after last being seen at 10.13am on Saturday (October 21).
Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious. They have thanked people who helped with their searches to find the missing Dorset woman[2].
Dorset Police said: “Officers searching for a missing woman in Christchurch have very sadly found a body. At approximately 12.30pm on Monday 23 October 2023 the body of a woman was located in some woodland close to Gordon Road in Highcliffe.
“While the body has not yet been formally identified, it is believed to be that of Judith Kelly who was last seen at 10.13am on Saturday 21 October 2023. Her family have been informed.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been notified. We would like to thank everyone who assisted with the searches and our thoughts are with Judith’s family and loved ones at this extremely difficult time.”
