Woman dies after van and lorry collide on A5 in Northamptonshire

A woman has died after a van and lorry collided on the A5 Watling Road in Northamptonshire. The incident happened near the village of Watford yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, October 24).

According to Northamptonshire Police, at about 2.20pm, the driver of a grey Ford Fiesta car collided with the rear of a red Vauxhall Combo van. This caused the driver of the van to collide with the driver of a white MAN lorry travelling in the opposite direction and a stationary white Volvo car.

Sadly, the driver of the van – a woman in her 60s – died at the scene. The occupants of the other vehicles were not injured.
