Warning over yobs hurling stones off multi-storey car park onto traffic

A warning has been issued after yobs were reported hurling stones off the roof of a multi-storey car park in Nuneaton[1] onto passing traffic. Incidents were reported on Newtown Road yesterday (October 1).

Nuneaton and Bedworth[2]Neighbourhood Watch posted a warning that someone was ‘throwing rocks’ from the top of the Harefield Road car park. It read: “Warning. Please be on your guard driving past Pets at Home.

“Someone is throwing rocks at cars from the top of the multi-storey car park.” It prompted pleas from people to be careful.

One of the group members said that a similar incident happened on nearby Jubilee Way two weeks ago. They said that something was thrown onto the roof of their car, leaving a dent and a scratch.

It was said that police were informed but there was no CCTV footage captured of the incident.
