‘Serious’ crash closes road as drivers told to avoid area
A road in the Cotswolds[1] is set to be closed for some time today (October 29) following a serious crash. The incident happened on the B4081 Campden Road in Mickleton at around 9.56am, Gloucestershire Police said.
A spokesperson for the force[2] said two vehicles were involved in the crash. They added a road closure has been set up[3] while emergency deal with the incident.
Traffic[4] monitoring website Inrix says the crash took place between Bakers Hill in Mickleton and Furze Lane in Chipping Campden. Police have urged motorists to avoid the area.
The police spokesperson said the incident is considered to be a "serious" crash. He said: "We have been called out to a serious road traffic collision (RTC) on Campden Road in Mickleton.
"We received reports of the RTC involving two vehicles at 9.56am and have closed the road. The road closure will be in place for a while and we are advising people to avoid the area."
