Search for man after ‘knife threat during Grimsby burglary’

Police want to speak to this man in connection with a reported burglary in Grimsby[1], in which a man was threatened with a knife.

Officers were called to reports of a break-in at a property in Macaulay Street. Car keys were stolen from inside.

The owner of the car then challenged the men in the street outside the property. He was allegedly threatened with a knife by one of the men.

The men are said to have fled down Wharton Street towards Lister Street. It happened at around 7.30am on Saturday morning.

Now, Humberside Police[2] are appealing for anyone who recognises this man or who has any information or footage from the area to get in touch with them.

In a statement, the force said: “Do you know this man? Officers are keen to speak to him following a reported burglary in Grimsby [on Saturday]. We were called at around 7.30am with reports that two men had entered a property on Macaulay Street and stolen car keys from inside.

“When the owner of the keys challenged the men in the street outside, one of the men reportedly threatened him with a knife before the pair fled down Wharton Street towards Lister Street.

“Anyone that recognises this man, has CCTV/Dashcam footage from the area or has any information that may assist our enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting log 127 of 28 October.”
