Road closed in Kirkham after a crash involving lorry

The crash was on Blackpool Road and is closed from Fox End Lane to Ribby End roundabout.

The road is expected to be “closed for some time” and two people have been taken to hospital.

Police were called at 9.10am and the driver and passenger in the car have gone to the hospital.

 A police spokesperson said: “It’s a collision between a lorry and a car. Driver and passenger in the car have gone to hospital.

“Call came at 9.10am. Collision was on Blackpool Road, Kirkham.

“The road is currently closed from Fox End Lane to Ribby End roundabout. The road is expected to be closed for some time. We will update once the road reopens.”
