Pop icons JLS to perform outdoor show in Kent next summer
Fans of the popular reunited boy band JLS[1] are in for a treat as the group will be coming to the Kent[2] coast for an exciting outdoor concert. The 2008 X Factor[3] runner-ups will take to Dreamland[4] in Margate[5] as part of the hotly anticipated 2024 Summer Series line-up.
This year, big names in music including Tom Jones, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Queens of the Stone Age, McFly and Bastille performed[6] in the bustling coastal town as part of the string of summer shows. And, next year, JLS will bring a “brand-new live show bursting with fresh elements” to Dreamland on Saturday, July 6.
Proving to be one of the nation’s most successful boy bands, JLS have risen to international fame with hits such as Beat Again, Everybody in Love, and Eyes Wide Shut. Boasting more than six million record sales and selling more than two million live tickets, the four-piece group are also the first ever X Factor act to win a prestigious BRIT Award (2010), five MOBO Awards, four Digital Music Awards and three Urban Music Awards.
Their first four albums have all gone multi-platinum and the group has headlined London’s O2 Arena 20 times. Their most recent album, titled 2.0, heralded the band’s comeback in 2021 and was met with highly positive reviews.
JLS are set to perform at Dreamland’s Scenic Stage, which offers a standing capacity of 15,000 people. Scheduled to take place between 5pm and 10.30pm, final admission will be at 9pm with all ages welcome but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Tickets for the event will go on general sale on Friday, November 3, starting from £45 each and available for purchase on the Dreamland website[9]. Pre-sale tickets will also be available for those who sign up to the Dreamland mailing list before 10am on Wednesday, November 1.
