Police seek pouting man in attempted burglary case
A man spotted pouting on a CCTV camera is being sought by police investigating an attempted burglary in south Bristol. Avon and Somerset Police[1] said the incident took place at some point between 1am and 1.15am on September 17 in Denleigh Close, Whitchurch[2].
The force said a man attempted to break into a house[3] on the road. Shortly after the incident, a white BMW 1 Series car was seen driving away from the area.
As investigations continue, officers have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify. The man is described by police as being in his 20s or 30s with short black hair and is of a muscular build.
A statement from the force said: “We’re issuing a CCTV image of a man we’d like to identify after an attempted burglary in Bristol[4]. Between 1am and 1.15am on Sunday, September 17, a man attempted to break into a house in Denleigh Close, Whitchurch.
“The man in the image is described as being in his 20s or 30s, with short black hair and a muscular build. Following the attempted break-in, a white BMW 1 Series car was seen leaving the area.
“If you can help, please call 101[5] and give the call handler the reference number 5223226150, or complete our online appeals form[6]. You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111[7] or via their Anonymous Online Form[8].
“No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers.”
