Police launch 999 missing appeal after schoolgirl disappears

West Midlands Police are growing concerned for the welfare of a missing teenager from Birmingham. Officers said Sophia disappeared from Kings Norton[1].

The force said anyone who sees her should dial 999. It said the schoolgirl could be in Acocks Green[2].

Police said she was wearing pink shorts, a black top and a long cream Puffa coat. She was also carrying a black backpack.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Birmingham Police posted: "Have you seen 15-year-old Sophia? She’s gone missing in #KingsNorton #Birmingham but could be in #AcocksGreen.

"She’s wearing pink shorts, black top, a long cream puffa coat and carrying a black backpack. Call us on 999 quoting log 4011 of 30/9 if you have seen her."
