Person in ‘serious condition’ following incident on Grimsby rail track

A person has been taken to hospital in a “serious condition” following an incident at a railway line in Grimsby[1].

Officers from British Transport Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue[2], as well as an ambulance from East Midlands Ambulance Service, were called to the tracks close to the railway crossing on Littlefield Lane at just after 11.30am on Tuesday morning.

The road was subsequently closed to motorists as emergency services dealt with the incident.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line in Grimsby at 11.35am following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended and a person has been taken to hospital in a serious condition. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
