Police are appealing for witnesses after a car hit a pensioner in Runcorn[1].

Shortly after 1.15am on Sunday October 29, police received reports of a crash between a car and a man near the Runcorn Spur Road Roundabout.

The 65-year-old man suffered serious injuries and currently remains in hospital in critical condition.

As part of enquiries into the incident, police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it.

Sergeant Russell Sime, of Cheshire Police[4], said: “Our investigation is ongoing, and although this collision occurred in the early hours of the morning, we are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any dashcam footage, to get in touch with us.

“We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the pedestrian near this location prior to the collision so we can establish exactly what happened.”
